Foundation Has A Successful Community Project Month in May

The Pinawa Foundation is proud to announce that we have distributed over $85,500 to various groups that participated in our annual Community Project Month in May. The following groups received directed donations from the community plus the Foundation topped up their totals by 40% (to a maximum of $2,000). 

Survivor’s Hope Crisis Inc. – Improved Services for East Man – $5,118

Pinawa Tennis Club – Repurposing/Resurfacing Tennis/Pickleball Courts – $32,025

Two Rivers Seniors – Covid Expenses Recovery – $3,990

Pinawa Art 211 – Sculpting Equipment – Metal Shelving/Lighting – $1,610

Whiteshell Winter Arts Festival – Activity Equipment (Shuffleboard, Mini Golf) – $175

Pinawa Lions Club – Burrows Park Playground Upgrade – $8,200 

Pinawa Secondary School – Guitar Program – $1,050

Pinawa Hospital – Security Card Access for Hospital Pharmacy – $3,220

Pinawa Public Library – Sit ‘n Read (Sofa & Nordic Noir Collection) – $1,540

Children’s Place Day-Care – Day Care Renovations – $15,788

Whiteshell XC Ski Club – Ski Trail & Track Maintenance – $1,862

Pinawa Christmas Committee – Town Holiday Lights (owned not rented) – $2,205

Orville Acres Arena – LED Light Replacement – $6,790

Directed donations totaled $69,699 for the 13 groups participating.  The Foundation was pleased to provide the top up grants totaling $13,847. This year has been challenging for all our local groups and the usual fundraising activities to support their budgets have not happened. Thank you for all your support.
