The Pinawa Foundation, in partnership with the Community Foundations of Canada (CFC), has completed our program to distribute funds to assist local groups with covid-related expenses. “The foundation would like to thank the CFC, the LGD of Pinawa, and Employment and Social Development Canada for all of their assistance” said Chris Saunders, Chairman of the Foundation. “We were able to distribute $40,000 from the ESDC to groups in Pinawa during this difficult time”.
The Foundation awarded grants to four groups. The grants included:
- Ironwood Gardens Care Homes: $17,700 (equipment and supplies)
- Pinawa Hospital: $11,000 (equipment; supplies; phone booster to improve patient experience)
- LGD: $6,300 (compliance officer, supplies for pool)
- Pinawa Club: $5,000 (supplies, assist with new floor/remove carpet)
