The Pinawa Foundation hosted their 2026 Annual Public Meeting and Granting Ceremony on June 8th. Board Chair Chris Saunders gave a brief presentation on the Foundation’s recent activities and announced that the Foundation would be awarding over $156,000 at the Granting Ceremony. He announced the creation of two new endowment funds, the Bruna Palleva Fund, established by a local business owner to support youth programs in Pinawa, and the Pinawa Health Auxiliary Memorial Fund, established in partnership with the Pinawa Health Auxiliary to remember community volunteers and Health Auxiliary members that are no longer with us. Chris’ presentation also included a thank-you to Carol Findlay, a long-term board member and treasurer who retired from the Foundation in December after 16 years.
The Foundation reached a major milestone this year; granting over $1.6 Million over the past ten years to groups in Pinawa.
