The Parent Advisory Council of F. W. Gilbert School has been awarded the 2023 Greener Tomorrow Grant from Solo Market for continuing work on the “natural playground”. Plans are in place to finish the outdoor classroom and proceed to the tire climbers, hill slide and village play area. The choice has been made to use repurposed, natural and durable materials. It is a practical way to educate the students on the importance of sustainability as well as developing a connection to nature. The 2023 grant is for $5,338.

The Pinawa Foundation is pleased to partner with Solo to provide F. W. Gilbert PAC with funding for this ambitious project. 2022 saw the playground bustling with activity as volunteers worked to make dramatic changes to the playground.
