Carol Findlay then announced the results of our Community Project Month Program at our Annual General Meeting on June 20. This year, we raised over $88,497 for 14 projects, including the 40% top up provided by the Foundation, including:
Survivor’s Hope Crisis Inc. – Speaking out against Sexual Violence Project. Goal: $3,000; Raised $5,476
Pinawa Art 211 – Connecting Art & Community for Pinawa Birthday. Raised $1,715
Courts of Pinawa Club – Accessible Sidewalks for the Courts. Raised $5,985
WSXC Ski Club – New Renovator/Track Setter. Goal: Raised $8,699
Pinawa Lions Club – Pinawa 60th Birthday Weekend Expenses (tent/facilities). Raised $5,705
Orville Acres Arena – Ice Plant Compressor Overhaul. Raised $4,235
Pinawa Public Library – Story Walk Phase 2. Raised $9,825
Trans Canada Trail – Ironwood Upgrades. Raised $1,260
Children’s Place Day-Care – Backyard Improvements. Raised $14,063
