Acsion Industries and the Pinawa Foundation have joined forces to help the Scoreboard Fundraising Committee at the Pinawa Secondary School raise $5,000. “The current scoreboard and shot clock are over 25 years old” says Linda Tait, a member of the committee. “We expect this new partnership will allow us to raise the funds we need”.
Chris Saunders, President of Acsion and the Executive Director of the Pinawa Foundation believes this partnership shows how local businesses and volunteers can get together to get the job done. “Acsion and the Foundation are very proud that we can help support this important school improvement activity. We are hoping the community also gets involved to get us to our goal,” says Chris.
The Pinawa Foundation will accept donations for the scoreboard and provide a charitable tax receipt for any donation over $25. Acsion will match all donations made from March 15 to September 30, 2014, up to $2,500. With the community and Acsion coming together, we should meet our goal of $5,000.
