The Pinawa Foundation awards two scholarships each year at Pinawa Secondary School (PSS) graduation ceremony. The Pinawa Foundation Citizenship Scholarship, in the amount of $1,750, is awarded to a student who has demonstrated an active interest and involvement in supporting their school community, as well as the community beyond the walls of PSS, through volunteerism, involvement in school and community committees and activities. In 2025 this scholarship was awarded to Raquel Long. Raquel is enrolled in Northern College to study to become a Veterinary Technician.

Gladys Guthrie was one of the first nurses in Pinawa Hospital and an excellent example of the most important principle of the nursing profession; providing those in your care with dignity, value, and kindness. A memorial scholarship has been established by the family of Gladys Guthrie, through the Pinawa Foundation, to be presented to a deserving student entering nursing or a related field of health care. The Gladys Guthrie Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $2,000 was awarded to Annika Suski in 2025, who plans to pursue a career in the field of Diagnostic Medical Sonography and Ultrasound.
